HMJ PAI Unismuh Makassar Promotes Literacy Through Reading Corner and Discussions

HUMAS UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR – In an effort to stimulate interest in literacy, the Student Association of the Islamic Education Department (HMJ PAI) of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar (Unismuh) held a "Reading Corner" event in the courtyard of the Faculty of Islamic Studies Main Building (MABES FAI), Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Muhammad Habib Harun, Secretary for Academic Affairs of the Inclusive Period HMJ PAI, emphasized the importance of increasing reading interest among students, especially in the Faculty of Islamic Studies. "This 'Reading Corner' aims to inspire and encourage students to read, as well as broaden their academic knowledge," he said.

Habib hopes that activities like this "Reading Corner" can be held regularly, forming a generation of intelligent individuals who can make positive contributions.

Fathurrahman, Chairman of the HMJ PAI Unismuh period 2023-2024, appreciated the enthusiasm of the students who participated. "This event is proof that young people still have a lot of potential to create positive change," he said.

Fathurrahman also added that MABES FAI has been a witness to the development of productivity and student activities that shape future leaders.

This initiative demonstrates Unismuh Makassar's commitment to advancing literacy and education among its students.
